Easy Apple Pie

Ingredients 1 (14.1 ounce) package pastry for a 9-inch double-crust pie ¾ cup white sugar, or more to taste 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 6 cups thinly sliced apples 1 tablespoon butter

Directions Heat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, or 230 degrees Celsius.

Place one pastry crust inside a 9-inch pie dish and reserve the other one.

In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon and 3/4 cup sugar. If your apples are tart, then add extra sugar.

Arrange the apple slices in the prepared pie plate, distributing the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly between each layer.

Add little bits of butter to the top layer in dots. Place top crust on top.

For ten minutes, bake the pie on the lowest rack in the preheated oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, or until the mixture begins to bubble and turn golden brown.
