Buttery, Toasty Garlic Bread Goes With Everything

Ingredients 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 2 cloves garlic, grated on a microplane 1 teaspoon kosher salt

2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley 1 (1 pound) Italian bread loaf 2 tablespoons olive oil Flaky salt

Directions Preheat the oven to 400°F. Mash the butter, garlic, salt, and parsley in a bowl until well blended.

Without slicing all the way through the bottom crust, cut the loaf lengthwise, and then across into 1-inch slices.

Spread the butter mixture on both sides of each slice of bread. Brush the top of the bread with the olive oil and sprinkle with flaky salt.

Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake until the butter has melted, about 10 minutes.

Uncover the bread, and continue to bake until it is toasted and golden brown on top, another 10 minutes.
