How To Store Avocados

Ripe Avocados: If your avocados are ripe and you're not ready to eat them yet, store them in the refrigerator. This slows down the ripening process and can keep them fresh for a few more days.

Unripe Avocados: If your avocados are still unripe, leave them at room temperature to ripen. Once they're ripe, you can transfer them to the refrigerator to prolong their freshness.

Whole Avocados: If you have whole avocados, you can store them on the countertop until they ripen. Once ripe, move them to the refrigerator to slow down the ripening process.

Cut Avocados: If you've only used a portion of an avocado and have leftovers, store the remaining portion with the pit still intact. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container.

Sprinkling lemon or lime juice over the exposed flesh can also help prevent browning. Store it in the refrigerator and use it within a day or two.

Freezing Avocados: You can also freeze avocados if you have too many ripe ones or want to preserve them for later use. Mash the avocado flesh and mix it with lemon or lime juice to prevent browning.
