Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients: – Sliced bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough) – Mozzarella cheese slice – Pizza sauce – Pepperoni slices (optional) – Butter or margarine

Prepare Ingredients: – Lay out the bread slices and cheese slices. – If using pepperoni, have them ready.

Spread Pizza Sauce: – Take one slice of bread and spread pizza sauce evenly on one side.

Add Cheese and Toppings: – Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce. – If using pepperoni, add a layer on top of the cheese.

Top with Another Slice of Bread: – Place another slice of bread on top to form a sandwich.

Butter the Outside: – Spread butter or margarine on the outside of both slices of bread. This will help achieve a golden-brown crust when grilled.

Grill the Sandwich: – Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. – Once hot, place the sandwich on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve: – Once the sandwich is grilled to perfection, remove it from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. – Cut the sandwich in half diagonally, if desired, and serve hot.
